Located in the Mississippi Delta,
St. Francis Grade School is a parochial school, grades
Pre-Kindergarten
through 6.
Students enjoy a unique education
that features FAITH first, with ACADEMICS and DISCIPLINE
as partners in a well-rounded
elementary environment.
FAITH
The centerpiece of St. Francis School
is the church, where a weekly liturgy
is held for all the students. The
students fully participate regardless

ACADEMICS
St. Francis offers a quality education with small class size. The pupil to teacher ratio is 12:1. Owing in part to individual attention, students at St. Francis score at the proficient level on the Stanford Achievements Tests, a national standardized test.
Our facility is state accredited, with over half of the teachers having Masters Degrees and approximately 300 years of combined teaching experience.
The Mission of St. Francis of Assisi Grade School is to create a loving and caring Christian community where teaching and learning support all children in becoming the best they can be in mind, body and spirit.
Students participate in numerous activities, including altar server, chorus, poetry bee, math bee, science fair, reading fair, school newspaper, student council and flag squad. |
DISCIPLINE
Stressing values of respect, integrity,
discipline and character building in a safe,
faith-filled environment, St. Francis is a place where: All is renewed in Christ!

St. Francis School fosters an environment
of giving. Students have donated time and
money to various charities and institutions,
including $744 raised in 2007 for Pennies
for Patients in the fight against childhood
leukemia, donations to the Greenwood
Soup Kitchen and canned goods donated
to the Greenwood Food Pantry.
Parental / guardian support and involvement
are a strong and integral part of the education
of the children
of St. Francis School. |
